What’s In Your Heart? – Good News for June 19

Ephesians 3:14-19

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

The Daily Path: I see St. Paul has provided a prayer for us in this part of his letter to the Ephesians.

I kneel before you Father of all things, that You may grant me inner strength through the Holy Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith; and, grounded in Your love, I may have the strength to fully understand Christ’s love for me which surpasses knowledge, so that I may be filled with You.

In it’s advertising campaign, a certain credit card company asks: What’s in your wallet? Frankly, I’d rather know what’s in my heart. The times when I actively work to keep Christ’s love in my heart are the times when I am most at peace.

Room to Chat: It’s worth repeating…

With God, ALL things are possible.
