Jesus Passing – Good News for November 15

15 11 2010

Luke 18:35-43

As Jesus approached Jericho a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging, and hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what was happening. They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” He shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!”

The people walking in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent, but he kept calling out all the more, “Son of David, have pity on me!”

Then Jesus stopped and ordered that he be brought to him; and when he came near, Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” He replied, “Lord, please let me see.”

Jesus told him, “Have sight; your faith has saved you.” He immediately received his sight and followed him, giving glory to God. When they saw this, all the people gave praise to God.

The Daily Path: Is Jesus walking through your life? I believe that God is always in the house, but it’s up to us to shout out to Him.

I want to share a short video that was created by Doug Foxworthy from Castro Valley, CA. Doug recently passed away, losing his battle against colon cancer. But he leaves us with a powerful message. Please watch it. I guarantee it will have an impact on your outlook (and a far greater impact than any of the television you were exposed to this past weekend while watching football).

Hanging – Good News for November 20

20 11 2009

Luke 19:45-48

Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out those who were selling things, saying to them, “It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.” And every day he was teaching in the temple area.

The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words.

The Daily Path: What an ideal way to go through life… hanging on every word that Christ offers us.

(NOTE: I must apologize for my inability to post anything over the past week. A minor injury to my lower leg developed into a serious infection preventing me from spending any time at my desk. It’s getting better!)

Room to Chat: Father, please hold close Richard, your child and faithful servant, as he fights the cancer that has entered his body.
