Testimony – Good News for January 3

John 1:29-34

John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. He is the one of whom I said, ‘A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’ I did not know him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that he might be made known to Israel.”

John testified further, saying, “I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from the sky and remain upon him. I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, he is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God.”

Daily Path: All I can add is this…

I do believe that Jesus removes our sin and shows us the way to our Father in Heaven. I’m happier for listening to His message and accepting it. (Happy are those that are called to His supper) I also look back to see a lot of other people far more worthy than me to have received His call of renewal. But I also believe that God has had a plan for me all along, as he does for everyone. And by accepting this call of renewal and bringing Him into my life, I’ll be healed of my shortcomings and everything that can, and will, drag me down in this life.

He is the Son of God.

Room to Chat: Yesterday, I chatted with God during a time out while watching the Liberty Bowl on television. (No, I wasn’t praying for either Kentucky or East Carolina! If anything I would have prayed for implementation of a BCS playoff in 2009.) Hmm. Do I watch a TV commercial that I’ve seen a hundred times, or say a quick prayer? I’ll gladly opt for the prayer.
